This is a great opportunity to utilise your experience on the OCL management ladder in a progressive Leisure Trust.

OCL are looking for effective Team Leaders with experience of aquatics, fitness or dry site facilities with an eye for detail and an ability to motivate and get the best from their team. Successful candidates should have exceptional customer care skills and an infectious enthusiasm to provide the best possible standards of service to the Oldham community. The Trust’s mission is “A Community More Active, More Often”, and the post of Team Leader is a key role in achieving this.

The role of the Team Leader is to oversee and ensure the effective day-to-day running of the shift by providing supervision of staff and resources and meeting customer and stakeholder aspirations.

As part of your role you will have key responsibility for ensuring that responsibilities for the site overall are met by the team. These responsibilities may be varied from time to time and will continually reflect the needs of the business.

The successful candidate must hold a current STA Pool Lifeguard qualification as well as Pool Plant when working at a pool facility, for wet and dry side roles First Aid at Work and Emergency Responder are required however training can be provided to achieve these if necessary. Previous supervisory experience, a Gym Instructor and exercise class qualifications including circuit and spin will also be desirable.

The role of Team Leader will require flexibility to work across various units and the place of work may be varied from time to time.

The position at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre is temporary for an initial period of up to 12 months and is linked to the absence of the current post holder.

There are currently various full and part time hours available which may include evening and weekend work. The rate of pay for the role is £9.02 per hour rising incrementally to £9.55.
